20th Anniversary of 9/11 Art Memorial Unveiling in Cathedral City

The City Council, Cathedral City Public Arts Commission, and the Cathedral City Fire Department will host an event on Saturday September 11, 2021 at 8:15 am to honor those who lost their lives on that day. There will be an unveiling of an art memorial including a moment of silence.

All are welcome. The occassion will take place at the new Cathedral City Fire Station 411, 68950 Buddy Rogers Avenue, South Main Entrance, in Downtown Cathedral City.

The art memorial was designed by Cathedral City Fire Captain Corey Goddard and fabricated by a local businessman Jason Carlin.  The memorial pays respect to those who lost their lives at the Twin Towers in New York City including hundreds of first responders.  A 9/11 Memorial Plaque will also be unveiled that honors all who died and the thousands of injured survivors at the World Trade Center complex, at the Pentagon, and on United Flight 93 that crashed in rural Pennsylvania.
